Most places in Samburu don't see much violence, but it can happen. That's why you see this man with both a gun and a knife. We hope that the gospel will bring an end to tribalism and fights between groups, but there in Swari where this picture was taken, the Gospel has only just been introduced. Just days after we were there we heard reports of fighting, and lots of people were injured and cut. Maybe this man was involved, or maybe at the moment this picture was taken, something changed.
photo is superb, story is sad but well said, hope you succeed.
