We nicknamed this boy "Pizza" because that is what Eric had thought a translator had said when we asked the boy's name. I couldn't speak with him, but we had a really good time together. We went fishing, I let him listen to my iPod, we would play with a flashlight at night, and we connected in a way that I didn't think possible. How could I feel so close to someone who I have never spoke to? When I left, all I could really do was give him a hug and say "bye". I left not thinking I would see him again, but I will, and I can't wait. I hope our fishing river hasn't dried up.
Cool shot. I may have tried to capture abit more of what's happening in the background too. I love like these from Africa. There's always so much going on.
I'll be Addis Ababa (for the 3rd time in the last 12 months!) again in 2 weeks' time. I can hardly wait! I'll probably be loaded with shots similar to these as well...I know the streets are lined with kids playing and up to all sorts when schools' out. Usually alot of fun to watch and shoot.
