The Least (3)

This picture paints a different mood over my heart. This boy has almost nothing, is hungry and will be hungry most of his life, and couldn't communicate with me. But what he could do is smile, and he smiled a lot.
And I didn't know why.
Maybe it was just the color of my skin, or the fact that I had a camera, or that we gave him food. Any way you take it, this kid is really happy in this picture. He's wonderful. And I am so thankful that I had a weeks worth of intervention in his life even though he doesn't know a thing about who I am.
And then there is the boy behind him. When I see him, I think, "What if that was my brother"? Ask yourself that. What if that little boy was your son?
