This was the only time on the trip when we distributed relief food. We had spent the entire night prepping the bags- 200 of them. Within each yellow bag was some rice, corn, vegetable oil, beans, and salt. While the women received the food, I climbed up on our rather large truck (ex-military troop carrier) to capture the moment in this picture. I often wonder how they keep their clothes so bright and clean, when us here to wash ours daily can't seem to maintain our colors.
Love the splash of colours from everywhere. Shame about the sun glare but a really cool shot nonetheless.

"I often wonder how they keep their clothes so bright and clean" My very thoughts exactly. It's so colourful this photo. The contrast between the colors and the land is striking.

Brilliant lighting. Personally, I like the strong shaft of sunlight here. And the colours, oh the colours!

@Damon Schreiber: Thanks for the comments everyone... I wasn't sure at the time how my lens would react to letting a little sun in at the top of the shot, but I sort of like how it turned out.
I actually like the sun glare. I wish it maybe were a little more scattered, not just a white streak, but I don't wish it wasn't there. It seems to add something, but I can't put my finger on it. Makes it more realistic? More photojournalistic? Whatever it is, it works. My brain thinks it makes sense, because the sun is clearly low. Nice work.

Amazing colors there. I also like your angle of view, it allowed you to get everyone in the frame (well except for that kid on the right whose head you chopped off lol) :)
