In the only location we visited with running water, the fish that we caught there made a lovely addition to our plain meals of rice and cabbage. This boy would fish with a simply stick, string, and hook; he would say nothing. He only laughed when we caught a shirt in place of a fish. This picture tends to make me shiver when I look at it, and I think of that line from Switchfoot's song, "The Blues."
where was this taken?

@Hubert Pacheco: This was taken in a place called Ngali (pronounced Engali), in Northwestern Kenya. It was one of the only places where a running river could be found for miles, and it made the perfect backdrop for this shot.
